Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect almost nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no advertisements. To understand aggregate reading trends we run Google Analytics (anonymous statistics only — nothing that identifies you). This page explains the few small things that do happen when you visit omhanumanchalisa.com.

1. Data stored on your own device

Your reading preferences — theme (light/dark) and verse font size — are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit. This data never leaves your device, is never sent to us, and disappears if you clear your browser data. We cannot see it, share it, or sell it.

2. What we do not collect

No names, emails, or phone numbers — reading needs none of these.
No advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
No reading history tied to your identity — the analytics in section 3 is aggregate only, never linked to you.

3. Third-party services

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts so Devanagari, Telugu, Bengali, and Kannada render beautifully. When your browser fetches a font, Google may receive standard technical information (like your IP address) under Google's own privacy policy. We do not control that, which is why we keep third-party requests to fonts and privacy-friendly analytics only. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate reading trends (which pages are read, on what devices). It sets its own cookies under Google's privacy policy; nothing there identifies you personally, and you can opt out with Google's opt-out add-on or any ad-blocker.

4. If you email us

If you write to us via the Contact page, we receive whatever you choose to send (your address and message). We use it only to reply, never share it, and never add you to any list — there is no list.

5. Children

This is a devotional reading site suitable for all ages. Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing special for parents to opt out of — but do supervise young readers as you would anywhere online.
